Sardine & Egg High-Protein Meal for Cats

I whip up this sardine and egg high-protein cat meal on busy mornings when I need something fast. The eggs scramble in minutes, and my cat, Oliver, eats it before I have time to put the pan away.

Homemade High-Protein Cat Food Recipe

A bowl of homemade sardine and egg cat food, featuring pieces of sardines and eggs with green peas and carrots.

This recipe combines canned sardines, cooked eggs, and a few wholesome extras for a nutritious cat meal. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare and is suitable for cats of all ages.

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Drain the sardines and hard-boil the eggs. Chop the eggs into small pieces.
  2. Mix Together: In a bowl, combine the drained sardines and chopped eggs. If using, fold in the cooked peas and carrots for added nutrition.
  3. Add Oil: Drizzle fish oil or olive oil for healthy fats and mix well. Optionally add a pinch of catnip for flavor.
