Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana mashed
- 1 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened, nonfat or Greek)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, ensure your dog is not sensitive to it)
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or a gluten-free alternative)
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 8 small dog-friendly biscuits or treats for the crust
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Cookie Crust: In a bowl, crush the dog biscuits into fine crumbs. Press the crumbs into the bottom of silicone molds or a small cake pan to form a crust layer.
- Mix the Filling: In another bowl, combine the mashed banana, yogurt, honey (if using), flour, oats, and cinnamon. Mix until well blended.
- Fill the Molds: Spoon the banana mixture over the prepared crust in the molds or cake pan, smoothing the top out evenly.
- Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool completely. Release from the molds and serve to your dog. You can also store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
