This Chicken Spinach Cake features tender chicken blended with fresh spinach and oats, baked into a delightful treat for your dog. It takes about 45 minutes to prepare and bake, making it an excellent option for a homemade celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth low sodium
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt for frosting
  • 1/4 cup applesauce unsweetened
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, chopped spinach, flour, oats, chicken broth, applesauce, and the egg. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour into Pan: Pour the mixture into the greased cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Frost: Let the cake cool completely before frosting with plain yogurt if desired.
