This cupcake-style cake is made with cottage cheese, blended with mashed bananas and mixed with dog-safe berries. Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup blueberries or chopped strawberries (dog-safe berries)
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, make sure it’s suitable for dogs)
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- Fresh berries for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease them.
- Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, mashed banana, beaten egg, and honey if using. Stir until well combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the whole wheat flour and baking powder. Gradually add it to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Add Berries: Gently fold in the blueberries or strawberries into the batter.
- Fill Muffin Tins: Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tins, filling each slot about 2/3 full.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
