Easy Strawberry Oat Cake for Dogs
This dog-friendly cake combines oats and strawberries to create a moist and flavorful dessert that is safe and healthy for your pets. The recipe takes about 45 minutes to prepare and bake, yielding a delightful cake that your dog will look forward to.
Ingredients
- 2 cups oats, ground into flour
- 1/2 cup mashed strawberries (fresh or thawed from frozen)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)
- 1/2 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Optional: additional strawberries for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground oat flour, mashed strawberries, applesauce, peanut butter, water or broth, beaten egg, and baking powder. Stir until fully combined.
