Beef Rice Celebration Cake That’s Always a Hit

I baked this beef rice celebration cake for my dog Oliver’s birthday party with his dog friends. The beef and rice made the cake filling, and he ate the first piece before the other dogs arrived.

Easy Beef Rice Dog Cake Recipe

A round Beef Rice Celebration Cake for Dogs topped with yogurt frosting, decorated with carrots and peas, with a dog eagerly waiting to enjoy it.

This dog-friendly cake combines ground beef, cooked rice, and a few dog-safe veggies, baked into a moist and tasty treat. It takes about an hour from preparation to serving and is perfect for celebrating your pet’s special moments.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt (for frosting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, cooked rice, grated carrots, peas, eggs, chicken broth, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
  4. Bake the Cake: Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cake is cooked through and firm to the touch.
  5. Cool and Frost: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Once cooled, you can frost it with plain yogurt if desired.
  6. Serve: Cut the cake into slices and serve it as a special treat for your dog. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
