This Mango Yogurt Cake features a moist base made with ripe mango, yogurt, and whole wheat flour, creating a delicious dessert that’s safe for dogs. The recipe takes about 40 minutes from start to finish and serves approximately 8 doggie portions.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe mango, pureed
- 1 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored)
- 1/4 cup honey (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the pureed mango, yogurt, applesauce, honey (if using), and melted coconut oil. Mix well.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour and baking powder.
- Incorporate: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Add the egg and mix until fully integrated.
