Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded zucchini
- 1 cup grated apple (peeled with core removed)
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon if using.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another large bowl, combine shredded zucchini, grated apple, applesauce, vegetable oil, and the egg, and stir until well combined.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
