This Blueberry Harvest Cake for Dogs is made with wholesome ingredients, including ripe blueberries and whole wheat flour. It’s baked to perfection and can be decorated with dog-friendly frosting for an extra special touch. This cake serves about 8 doggy friends!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (dog-safe)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, peanut butter, vegetable oil, broth, and egg, and mix until well combined.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the flour and baking soda. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the blueberries.
